Today,
I summon you all Nurses!
You please listen to a magnificent story of our success.
The discovery of T.N.G.N.A may be unraveled message and an escavated history to you.
Indeed it is not a mushroom which has had a over night birth and growth.
It is a strong tree, tall and wide, which was preplanned, planted and brought up by the sweat and sacrifice of good Nurses.
Now we are all resting safe under the shadow of the glorious branches of this tree.
Your calls were heard and your tears were wiped.
But before 1961 there were non to identify you.
Many members of our Nursing family were suppressed and depressed under the pressure of some burocratic medical men and by the ministerial blocks.
The decency, dignity, and decorum of the profession was lost somewhere.
Somebody has to knock the door that had never known keys,
Somebody had to take the cross and climb to a rendezvous.
At this juncture my dear friends the founders and the pillers of T.N.G.N.A took an audacious step against the evils who surrendered the Nursing Community.
Mr. P. Srinivasan, Mr. D.K. Edward are the architects of this association.
An age old of confusion and frustrations came to an end by their efforts, they were threatened and torchered mentally by many upgraders.
Yet they had not given up.
A struggle for Justice, a battle for Dignity, and righteousness was started by them.
It was strengthened by Mr. Kamatchinathan, Mr. Ramamurthy, Mr. Balasundaram. At last under the sweat and sacrifice of these peoples and also by others the DAWN of the association came true.
50 superneumarative posts were created and a new dignity and confident was installed among the Nurses.
When the association had lost the leadership of Mr. Srinivasan, It fell on the hands of some evil wicked minded leader.
The hardship and effort of the pioneer were wasted and insulted by the irrelevant and irritating biased methods of the care takes, they had dug their OWN grave for the Nursing Community. They made ofcourse a king voice with no message.
During this sinking time, some Voicesses under the eminent and elected leadership of Mrs. Pappu Rajan came to run and rescue this ship within a yard of Hell.
Our Nurses by now understand that she is an exposition of capability and capacity.
The elegance, truth and consistency and efficiency of the new panel had created new era.
Mrs. Pappu Rajan's distinguished, dedicated and dignified leadership had brought the following fruits to the Nursing Family.
1) The ration allowance which was refused was regained and enhanced.
2) The washing allowance was enhanced.
3) The uniform allowance was enhanced.
4) We are now having the privilege of seeking promotions more quickly than even before.
5) Every other community was enjoying House Rent Allowance, except unmarried women Nurses. Now it was hit by the effort of association whenever the problem is there goes the panel to seek our justice.
Now o ur head is held high, and our mind is without fear. Yet we have miles to go.
The strength of any movement is attributed largely to the commitment of our members, every single Nurse represent as a symbol of discipline.
Dear Nurses where there is unity, there lives our victory.
I call you all dear Nurses to share and enjoy our growth.
I plead you to understand these Rosy Prints of Victory in this ivory path progress is achieved only by the sincere and dedicated steps taken by these leaders and by good understanding and Co - Operation rendered by you all.
Thank You
C. Prabakaran
